Lifestyle-Modification
Lifestyle modification in individuals with prediabetes has been shown to be effective in reducing the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, but the benefit only lasts as long as the intervention continues.

Lifestyle modification is the recommended first-line intervention for individuals with prediabetes.
Early intervention with lifestyle modification reduces the risk of developing diabetes.
Intensive diet and exercise intervention in overweight prediabetic individuals reduced the risk of developing diabetes by 58%.
BUT: The effect is apparent only as long as this intervention is continued.
